Darkness Remembered was founded in 2008 as a tribute to the former GenCon LARP organization, Dark Duality, which folded after Gen Con 2007. The remaining members of the Dark Duality storyteller core, Aaron Ledger and William Moore, created Darkness Remembered to carry on the tradition of classic World of Darkness LARPs at GenCon. Since that time, we've expanded into table-top games, card games, and board games.
We still run a Live-action role-playing, or LARP, at every GenCon. LARP is a form of improvisational theater. Our club, called a troupe (as in a group of actors), collectively tells a story using White Wolf Game Studio’s classic World of Darkness setting and Mind’s Eye Theatre game system. The troupe consists of everyone who has ever played in a Darkness Remembered event. Administrative and Logistical Staff are those talented individuals who organize the club, plan and execute the games for the entertainment of the troupe at events like those at GenCon Indy, Origins and other well-loved venues nation-wide.
We are a troupe that let’s all types of gamer’s put on their creativity at all the convention we do. Even if it is a popular or classic card game or board game we cater to all. We have evolved into a Organization designed to help all gamer’s go to conventions like GenCon that for whatever reason they may not have been able to attend.
